Even with its increased size, the new 4th generation Apple TV isn't really an eyesore on any TV stand. Its all black coloring and same small footprint make it easy to tuck out of sight. Problems arise with wall-mounted and ultra-ultra-minamilist TV setups where exposed cables can completely ruin the aesthetic.
One of the best ways keep a clean entertainment center is to mount Apple TV on the back of your HDTV. These multi-use mounts have been around for some time, but a couple have been updated to accommodate Apple's new thicker streamer. Read more of this post
